A bit about this item: Baba Tree’s artisan weaver Jemima Akolgo was the first to weave this type of basket in Bolgatanga, hence the name! Since then, Jemima has taught and inspired many of the weavers at Baba Tree with her innovative approach to incorporating traditional Gurunsi folklore. Honoring local basket traditions and creating exciting forms with the oldest craft in the world.
