WAX Atelier

WAX Atelier re-visits traditional techniques ranging from candle dipping, paper making, to crafted textiles using natural beeswax. Making becomes a tool to experience the interconnection between the natural world and material culture.

The majority of candles are sustainably produced and made out of 100% natural pure beeswax and organic cotton wick. These natural elements allow for the best possible candle quality and long burn time. Wax atelier are inspired by natural colors for their candles which can easily match with other home decor in dining, living or bedroom. These candles are sure to be a statement piece in your home.

WAX Atelier was founded in 2017 by multidisciplinary designers Lola Lely & Yesenia Thibault-Picazo. Lola’s specialism is in product design and natural plant based dyeing techniques. Born in Hanoi, Lola grew up in London and was curious from an early age about how objects are made. Drawing, making and the connections between materials, processes and makers are all central to her practice.

Yesenia is a French-born designer, whose work explores the potential of materials through collaborations with experts in the geology field, anthropology, and craft. She defines herself as a ‘material teller’ and uses design as a mean to engage with diverse audiences on contemporary ecological challenges.
